All the kids playing outside in the warm 75 degree weather. Just perfect.

Lochte loves his cousins, and they love him. He is in heaven. Oh wait... me too.

Lochte's first time to the beach. Just chillin' eating his apple. Okay so it was the ONLY time he just chilled in the whole 6 hours we spent at the beach. He loved running the beach.

Once he got over his fear of the water, he wanted to go deeper and deeper and never cared if the wave crashed him in the face or nocked him over. I made him hold my hand as we would go deeper and he was convinced that he didn't need to hold my hand despite the waves nocking him off his feet. Needless to say he drank a lot of salt water but all in all he came out alright.

Lochte in his "Speedo". Okay so we didn't bring a swim diaper so once his diaper was full I put him in his yellow and pink plastic diaper, which was sooo cute.

Yes OKAY... so I ruined the only good picture of all of us by picking Lochte's nose. Well that sums up a typical day anyway.

We love love love it here, for many reasons: Cool cousins, Awesome sister and brother in-law, Perfect weather, love the humidity, close beach, absolutely beautiful scenery, really nice people. Ummm can we move here please? So so fun.

APRIL 5TH IS THE BIRTHDAY OF A VERY SPECIAL PERSON!

Yes he's a cowboy and a million other great things too! He's a Carpenter and a Welder and a Jewelry maker, he also re-upholsters. He is very creative. He's a traveler and been to many places, one time he decided he wanted to ride his horses to Canada, although he lived in Washington, (right near the boarder of Oregon) he still did it and even made it in the newspaper for doing so. (I guess he's where I get my spontinuity and adventuristic side... I might be making up words now.)

He's laughs a lot and never takes life to seriously. I've never seen him yell, EVER, he mostly laughs and if you make him really mad he grunts and then walks away. Hmmm I wish I was more like him in that sense. :) He never forgets about you and always makes time for you.

My dad always took my sister and I on camping trips, fishing trips, hikes and all kinds of other adventures. Even after my parents split when I was three, he still always always made time for us. He would come and pick us up and take us fun places and teach us how to do cool things. The photo above is of me holding a baby lobster at a camping trip with my dad, obviously I am on the left with all my blonde hair and on the right is well... I don't even know.

This photo is on here because it explains my Dad to a T! He is crazy funny. He does random things like hunting down chickens, catching them and giving them odd hugs. He is super funny.

These next photos are of my Dad and I down at his shop, I would run down through the field from my mom's house to my Dads shop where he did all of his welding. We would check occasionally out the window to see when he was down there and then we (my sister and I) would run down through the field and go to see him. He always would stop and take us horse back riding and he even made us a really high swing next to his shop and he would push us on it.

One of the things I remember most, was all the singing, he was always singing. Sometimes he was even making up his own songs just to make us laugh.

Most importantly he spent quality time with us and never was too busy to make time for us.

At my wedding we danced our little hearts away, it reminded me of old times. This wasn't our first dance it was one of many, and country music is our thing for sure!

Yes yes... I love my Dad!

He even comes back to visit and loves to play with little Lochte. He's not just a great Dad he's a wonderful Grandpa.

I love you very much Dad.... and Happy Birthday!!!

Just a few days before Christmas it snowed enough for Lochte and I to go build ourselves a snowman. We had lots of fun building this 5' Frosty.

Christmas Morning Lochte woke up very sad and very sick so we had him take his very first Bubble bath and he loved it, it put him in a good mood to go downstairs and open presents.

Although he loved the experience he didn't quite know what to think when the bubbles would stick to his hands, not his most favorite thing.

Oh but this was his favorite thing. He loves loves to wear my shoes... and it made me laugh that he was wearing my most girly pink high heels with roses on the top. He didn't want to take them off.

CHRISTMAS MORNING

I was sad at first thinking that we didn't have any extended family we could afford to go and see this year but now my worry is that I am never going to want to leave home for Christmas again... it was such a blast and so convenient. That doesn't mean we don't love going to see you family though!

Jameson's Last Triathlon of the Season!

So we went down to Page, Arizona to visit Ben and Mandi and on top of it all Jameson got to do a late season Triathlon! It poured the whole time, Ben and Mandi are champs though and Ben babysat while Mandi and I ran around taking photos and videos of Jameson racing. That's fabulous babysitter Ben in the Blue, he watched his own 3 month old Blaik all while chasing Lochte in the rain!

Oh and Blaik was quite the champ himself.

Where did I have them before??? At the bottom of a drawer of course. Oh it has been so nice. It's just wooden frame with window screen behind and some scrapbook paper with some mod-podge. And some ink for the edges to distress it and of course some nifty knobs found at Home Depot.

So I didn't have many Halloween decorations and since the budget was tight I made this! It's made of real sticks and real leaves and some twine to be seen as a close line and some clothes pins to hold up the fabric squares that spell out Happy Halloween!

Our first Camping trip with Lochte. He did so well. We had a ton of fun, and had some nice neighbors too, who let us borrow the things we forgot, as clearly we are not used to camping with a baby. Oh so much to remember.

Too bad the summer is over. Well...I'll be looking forward to some more peeing outside for next year!!! You know I truly do enjoy camping, I crave it and I miss it. Maybe it's the campfire crackle or the roasted marshmallows .. or maybe the sound of the simplicity of life out in the wilderness. You know I really don't know but I do know that I love love love it!

A tribute to Lochte

My little man is so full of love and energy of course. He is my best little guy and I miss him when he is not with me. You would think I would be excited to have a break but in fact this is not true. He is just so scrumptious and even with as much trouble as he gets into I still wouldn't trade him for the world.

He loves:

-He loves to give us hugs and tightly wrap his legs around.

-He snuggles his head right up to yours giving butterfly kisses.

-When he gets in trouble he feels so bad he just wants to hug you.

-The other day when I was sick, he would come and lie down next to me and try to share his most prized possession with me (his binki) to help me feel better.

He laughs:

-He has quite the sense of humor, if you could only be here and see it.

-He thinks that the "Ants go marching" song is Hilarius.

-He even laughs at his own dance moves. (which are quite funny if you ask me)

-He still thinks sneezing is funny. (and truly sneezing is kind of an odd uncontrollable seizure type of thing)

He makes me Laugh:

-Every time we pick up his book that is the "This little piggy went to the Market" he grabs both of his feet.

- He laughs at his own silly's... which of course makes me laugh harder.

- He makes the funniest faces.

- When I play peek-a-boo he covers his eyes when he doesn't want me to see him.

- When he sees me get the hair gel out he runs and hides. (obviously he does not like his hair being done.)

He Dances:

- Oh man does he dance, to anything, sometimes it comes at the most embarrassing times... one time it was in church when a lady was singing a very touching (not upbeat) song about Emma Smith and while she and everyone else is getting teary eyed my sons on the floor busting out his latest moves.

-He refuses to watch anything on TV besides the "Wiggles" unless it's singing and dancing. But hey at least he gets his exercise while watching movies... which is much more than I can say for myself.

He's smart:

-He understands so much it amazes me everyday.

-His newest word is "GO" he says it when you say, "READY SET...." and he says it with much enthusiasm too.

It was so much fun to be with Tutu and Papa Steve!We loved watching their excitement to be with and play with Lochte. We loved going to the Dinosaur museum with them, eating yummy French toast at Kneaders, eating plenty of Ice Cream and going out to the movies to see, "Knight and Day" such a good laugh! And just plain spending some time with them. We tried to convince them to stay longer but silly Tutu wanted to keep her job. :)

My forever Project

This is called my forever project because it took me forever to do, I re-apolstered this chair and then made matching curtains in the bay window and matching pillows for the couch.

Welcome to our humble abode. Everything piece of furniture you see was bought on KSL or Craigslist, except our TV of course. The paint is the only thing we bought new :) if I could have bought used paint I would've :p

The sweet KSL deal only $400 (we almost paid $300 for a small TV stand that the TV just sat on top of but instead we found this great deal that matched so perfectly with our decor)

All the walls in the yellow and orange rooms are glazed with the brown rustic look, the glaze just seeps into the cracks of the texture and then you wipe it off.

The matching curtains and pillows were also made to match the chair.

I know kinda boring compared to the rest of the bright and colorful house, but I just haven't quite found the right color for his room yet.

This was our ultimate sweet find on KSL... the bed and the dresser solid wood for only $350 comes with plenty of scratches but that is the way we roll.

Jameson built these shelves and this is the work bench he made as well as installing in three new lights in the garage for better lighting. Let me tell you he is a perfectionist and everything is perfect!

Look at all this new storage area... when we first moved in there was not a single shelf or hook on the wall to store anything.

We went to Colorado for the 4th of July and also for the 6th of July(Tutu's Birthday!)

A nearby spray park where the water was fun but very cold. (hence lochte running for his life)

Oops we forgot towels... oh well pillow cases work just fine! (Our little sack of potatoes)

So we went to Colorado for 5 days and had a blast, it was sunny and warm and we went on a long bike ride together around a beautiful reservoir that we later swam in with our nifty wet-suits to prepare for our upcoming triathlon! We had a little picnic lunch and got sweet sunburns! Oh I forgot to mention that on the drive out to Colorado Jameson's dad rode with us and we all stopped near Grand junction at a camping park and it happened to be infested with mosquitoes and when I say infested I mean Jameson got 130 bites in the whole 20 minutes he spent putting up the tent and getting everything and everyone inside. It was nuts. At least someone got a great meal that night. :) Anywho... The fourth of July we got to see some fireworks from the house and still enjoy a sleeping baby. We had lots of fun celebrating Tutu's birthday with Strawberry tart and some jewelry making tools. Tutu was so nice to put up with Jameson and I's obsession with the TV show: Lost, she even joined in once and a while.

Wiggleworm

Lochte is a crawler and a stander and a mover along the coucher! :) He gets anywhere he wants to now, which has made for a much happier baby excluding the times when he falls and hits his head. (Which sadly happens ALL the time, at least twice a day if not more.)

Lochte's favorite thing to do is stand, he wants to stand all day long. Anything that is in his reach (stable or unstable) he will use to pull himself up. He also is daring enough to let go and try to walk. Problem is, he is barely able to hold himself up with the aid of the couch so of course he just falls straight down without even taking a step. He has learned that after he falls he should "wait it out" and see if it actually hurt him. He takes a moment of pondering while looking around the room from his new perspective from the floor and waits to cry or sometimes doesn't cry, just gets right back up and does it all over again. Oh this child is going to be the death of me. He is so curious, and even though he wants me to hold him, he also just wants to be up high so he can look around. He doesn't to look at me or pay attention to me he just wants to look around and get a better view of how he can make more trouble! :) He is constantly making me laugh whether he is being goofy or getting upset. His cry is something I have never heard a baby do before. He actually rolls his tongue while crying to make a "rolling R" sound such as in the Spanish language. It is quite comical and I will have to get some good footage on video to share. Jameson and I joke that he is a Spaniard. People try so hard for so long to learn to roll their "R's" but not Lochte, he has it down at 8 months. He not only incorporates it into his cries but he sometimes gets distracted by it and starts to do it for fun.

He doesn't want to be inside his walker anymore he want to push it around the room though, problem is he weighs too much and the walker goes flying forward and he falls. I have to fold it up if I am going to let Mr. Lochte on the loose. His favorite things are the easily topple-able stools at our counter and the space heater, which are two very big NO NO's! I have been getting creative on places to put them. The stools sit upside down on our counter tops... feels like a restaurant in here, and the space heater, well we just don't turn on anymore, we like to be freezing cold anyway! :)

The Huge Diaper... so in Sydney the only store we could find with diapers didn't have his size and I picked 2 sizes too big over one size too small... besides he kept leaking out his diapers but not with this humongo thing. (He is now six months old and still doesn't fit into those diapers.)

Okay so here is my husband competing at the Triathlon World Championships in Australia!! Pretty sweet stuff! He did great he placed 2nd American in his age group and 10th American Overall, that is out of over 300 Americans... needless to say I am pretty proud.

Okay so it's a fuzzy photo but it's so funny I had to post it!

So here is the little man, and like I said Steve... he is not as chubby as it appears in his passport photo, he has yet to gain his chubbiness. This photo was taken on Sept 2nd... yesterday.

He is so cuddly and lovable... the only problem is this is the only way he sleeps someone has to be holding him, and we recently discovered that he will sleep on his tummy sometimes but mostly just when someone is holding him or if we stick him in the sling or Moby wrap as you can see in the photo's below.
Jameson and I pass him back and forth during dinner time s o each of us can eat baby less.

See kids you all wonder how baby's get here... it really is the Stork... the stork brought him and left him on our coat rack!!!

This is our morning ritual when Lochte wont sleep in his cradle anymore he falls asleep to the sounds of my tummy rumbling.

So you wanted photo's... Melanie Salibury did a great job taking all these photo's and picking out poses, and Allison Paskett (sorry I can't remember her married name) did the editing. It was so great to have Melanie and Ryan and their baby Olive here helping me out for the few days that Jameson was gone to California for Nationals. I guess a post will follow this with more of Kamrah's comments and also a middle name to our brand new son!!

He was born Tuesday, July 21,2009 at 5:06am, weighing in at 6 lbs 15 oz and 19 inches long.

I'll try to give a brief version of the labor and delivery and Kamrah can make any corrections and extensions.

On Monday Kamrah worked very hard, hiking up and down a hill near our house while I was doing hill repeats to train for a triathlon. Later that day she went swimming with my sister and her kids (even going down a fairly intense slide several times). This probably instigated some things later that night.

From what I understand Kamrah's contractions started a little after 12 midnight, but I wasn't woken up until about 2:30am. We were both unsure how long the contractions were going to last. We assumed they were just teaser contractions. As they grew in intensity we got Kamrah into a warm tub. However, the tub was not deep enough for Kamrah and her belly, so I filled up the jacuzy tub upstairs. As I went to help Kamrah move to the new tub, so said that she thought her water broke (but we were kind of unsure because she was in a tub of water!).

As we moved up stairs Kamrah went through two or three contractions and told me she thought we should just go to the hospital. I figured we still had time and wanted to stick to our plan of staying at home as long as possible. I told her to at least get in the tub while I got the rest of our stuff together. Kamrah had done a very good job putting together all that we needed at the hospital. However, we still needed clothes to actually wear to the hospital, some food items, and a few last minute things.

A few minutes later Kamrah yelled to me that we had better go soon. I ran upstair with a load and she had gotten out of the tub. She then fell on the bed upstairs, as a contraction had hit her very hard. She told me it was too late, we were having the baby there! "Call the doctor and tell him to come here!" She said. I hesitated. I was very scared. I knew I couldn't deliver a baby. After the contractions subsided, I convinced her to get in the car right then - that I could get her to the hospital in 3 minutes! (I knew it was a lot longer than that).

We got her out to the car and she said she would just go in the back seat. I had just put the car seat in there and had put the tarp in the trunk (I normally have it in the back seat for my bike). As she looked in the back seat she asked where the tarp was. I told her it was in the trunk. She said, "Get it!" This scared me a little more. Anyways, we rushed off and headed for the hospital. The time was now around 4:20am. I managed to run a few red lights on the way.

I was praying the whole ride that Kamrah could make it til we got to the hospital. She yelled many times that it was coming. We arrived at the hospital and helped Kamrah inside (leaving the car running and the door open). We rushed upstairs and got her into a room. She was already fully dialated and ready to go! I'll cut out all the other stuff, but within about 20-30 minutes the doctor had barely arrived and Lochten was born!

Kamrah did so well! She was so brave. She is my hero!! There were many times I just wanted to take the pain from her to relieve her, but at the same time I think she did so much better than I would have done. I am thankful that she is the mother of our child. I also know that Heavenly Father helped her so much. Through Christ's sacrifice and atonement, He knows how she felt in her suffering and was able to succor her in her infirmity. I know that she received strength from above to carry out her motherly duty of giving birth. Once again, I love her so much. I am also very excited and happy to have Lochten in our family. We are very grateful to be blessed with the great opportunity to raise one of Heavenly Father's spirit childen.

The Forth of July

We spent the 4Th of July BBQ'n or well... George Foreman'n out on the deck at our house with some friends. We ran out of gas in the BBQ so Jameson tried to trick everyone by sneaking out the George Foreman and placing it strategically on the other side of the BBQ. Who knows how many people actually knew... but it was still very fun, we had a lot of great food and we had a great view of the fireworks right there from our back yard!

I have been meaning put up so photo's of our new house for those of you who wanted to see our new home. We plan on being here for at least a year and after that we don't know since Jameson's new job might require us to travel. But for now we are enjoying the extra space and we even have an extra bedroom for any of you who wish to come and visit!

I was most excited about the calfs and baby lambs that live in our back yard!

It was so great that we didn't take any photos. We headed up to Park City for our weekend getaway and we got to just enjoy the weekend relaxing and playing games together. It was a very very perfect weekend, we did some shopping, some dinning out and went on some great walks together enjoying the little prairie dogs that surrounded the resort. We gave hour massages that were very overdue and just enjoyed each others company. I would totally recommend this to any newlyweds trying to plan a first year anniversary. I am so glad we didn't have an agenda full of things to do.

LOCHTE KING'S FIRST PHOTO, (pronounced Lock-Tee) WE HAVE DECIDED ON A NAME FOR OUR NEW LITTLE ONE, WE ACTUALLY HAD DECIDED ON THIS NAME LONG BEFORE WE GOT PREGNANT. IF YOU WATCHED THE SUMMER OLYMPICS THIS LAST SEASON THEN YOU PROBABLY HEARD OF MICHEAL PHELPS, WELL LOCHTE WAS THE LAST NAME OF A SWIMMER ON THE AMERICAN TEAM WITH MICHEAL PHELPS. I LOVED THE NAME EVER SINCE I FIRST HEARD IT AND OF COURSE IT WASN'T HARD TO CONVINCE JAMESON SINCE HE LOVES THE OLYMPICS AND BEING A HARD CORE TRIATHLETE. WE HAVEN'T DECIDED ON A MIDDLE NAME BUT WE HAVE TIME.

It was so fun to see the ultrasound, Lochte was moving around quite a bit and it was so fun to see him moving his arms up to block his face as the nurse moved the ultrasound over his face. He was being quite the acrobat tilting his head back and pushing his chest out as if to attempt a back flip. We thought it was cute but the nurse was wishing he would just hold still for a second so she could measure him. Everything measured normal, we are at about 20 weeks or 5 months to those who deal better in months. We asked the nurse to let us guess the sex of our baby before she told us, and so when it came time Jameson blurts out, "It's a boy!" And I then said, " yes it does look like a boy but I guess it could be just the umbilical cord." The nurse wanted to agree that it was a boy but wasn't certain since Lochte had his legs close enough that it was hard to tell, then all the sudden after the nurse commented that she wasn't sure, Lochte moved so that we all knew that for sure he was a boy. I think he didn't want us confusing his manhood, after all no little boy wants to be mistaken as a girl. Either way it was so nice of him to be so obedient. So we are so very excited and we anxiously await his arrival around the 3rd of August.

The BABY and the BELLY!

16 weeks (Four months, which I reach on Monday the 16th of Feburary)

So here we are... the joys of being pregnant, I have been at the stage of just looking fat and not quite pregnant. Then just these last few weeks my belly started to defiantly stick out as you can see in the second photo. (Yeah, so I know I don't look very attractive in the photo but it's all I got.) Just to see the belly growing directly outward is very exciting... it's a funny thing that our whole lives we try so hard to keep our belly from bulging out and I never thought the day would come where the bigger my belly gets, the more excited I get.
So here is this weeks progress... the baby is now 4 1/2 inches long from head to rump and looks like a human baby not a baby dinosaur anymore, he or she is working hard this week to grow toenails... hmmm I am not even sure why we ever were given toenails?! What is the purpose? Does anyone know? I have to give credit to www.babycenter.com that sends me weekly emails updating me on the baby's projected progress, it's really neat!

Anyway, we heard the babies heart beat a few weeks ago and it was so awesome, just to know it's still alive. And in 1 month (March 12th) we will get to stop calling him or her an "IT" and refer to it as a him or her. Well I guess that is if the baby decides to show the goods, otherwise he/she will remain an "It".

I felt the little one move for the first time a week and a half ago, it felt a lot like little fish swimming around. It only lasted about 2-3 seconds but it was really neat. The thing is I wouldn't have even thought it was the baby if it weren't for babycenter.com that let me know what to look for. I have felt a few little movements here and there but not a lot and the past few days I haven't felt anything... I can't wait until I feel it everyday just for the security of knowing the baby is still alive.

So here are the fabrics for the crib bedding that my sister and I picked out at Ikea: (The blue will be the bumber and patches of all of them will be for the quilt and the skirt will be the fabric that is on the bottom.) I know it's dark but I am planning to buy a white crib to offset it all.)

What did we do for valentines day?

We started out by going to the temple to do sealings. That is after we stopped at the Provo bakery to fill ourselves up on donuts. We then watched the movie, "Family Man" Which I had never seen before. It was really really good. That movie has really good morals and really helped me to remember how lucky I am. We then went to the gym and I went to Jo-ann fabrics, I mean who can pass up a 5 patterns for $5 sale! Yes I got all kinds of patterns for maternity wear and baby items, such as diaper bags and crib bedding... it was really quite exciting for me. Jameson did a sprint triathlon by himself at the gym in only 1hr and 15 minutes which he claims is not that good since his transitions weren't realistic. We went to subway afterwords for a really romantic dinner! Lol it was actually my suggestion just so we would have time to make it to our stake dance. By the way, it was really fun. Jameson was pulling some moves from the movie "Hitch", I was laughing hysterically. We also had root beer floats and danced to some slow songs... it totally took me back to May 24th at our wedding reception when we danced.

My husband is such a wonderful man... this is him in the kitchen Christmas morning making all German Pancakes for 10 people and 4 kids, all by himself! They were very delicious, thanks sweetie.

Oh man Grandma Gigi's back yard was beautiful she had birds of paradise and all kinds of beautiful plants, and of course a palm tree. My personal favorite was the avocado tree, everyone needs one of those... at a dollar or more per avocado at the grocery store, yeah I'll take a tree filled with those.

We got way too many presents and had way too much fun... except of course the part where I was sick for three days and didn't want to leave the bed. But I will say that it was so fun to see everyone and spend some time with those of you I didn't get to know too well at the wedding. I married into a great family who are all very accepting and full of love. I am a very lucky girl. Hopefully I will be able to post our family photo soon.

We learned the basket weave in my second course of cake decorating.

Then we learned Fondant in my third course of cake decorating and I got a little carried away and spent 8 hours on this little masterpiece. Those snowflakes were little strips I cut out and stuck together.

These earrings also took me about 8 hours each and the silver ones were for my work and the gold ones on the right were for Becca (A really good friend who got married at the end of November.) They were made for her wedding.

Christmas Party... Yes we hosted more than one this year!!

It was a really fun party! We had a white elephant gift exchange, and prizes for the funniest gift given and also plenty of eggnog and hot chocolate served with cookie dough and ice cream and just everything that is not healthy! We made Christmas ornaments out of peppermint candies and finished off the night by watching Elf... the funniest Christmas movie ever!

So we know you were all sick of seeing the Halloween background all through Thanksgiving. We are very excited for Christmas to come... We can't wait to go to California and see everyone! Jameson and I are trying to get together our Joseph and Mary costumes for the pageant :) It will be so fun.

Okay so just to fill you in on the recent changes we have made.... I went to part time at my work for Nancy (www.nancybarruscouture.com) making custom wedding dresses. I now am also starting my own business on the side doing alterations. My blog for my business is ProfessionalAlterations.blogspot.com there are also several photos of my dress for all those who have wanted to see it but haven't had a chance. I cannot do custom wedding gowns here in Provo Utah because well lets just face it that would be really mean. My boss has taught me all I know about making custom gowns and I am so grateful. Her business is here and as of now she has no competitors. But I will do temple gowns and all the alterations I have time for. That works for me for now until we move out of Utah at least.

Jameson has started a club at Triathlon Club at BYU and the members have grown to almost 600. He is putting on a triathlon here at BYU this weekend and I am so proud of all of the work he has put into making this club succesful. He has gotten a bike company named "FEZZARI" to agree to make a BYU edition bike and discount it to the triathlon club members. He has also quit both his jobs at the campus library and the physical therapy clinic to work for Fezzari (www.fezzari.com), because the owner liked him so much. He hired Jameson to do all his advertising and filming for his company. We are pretty excited. Jameson has also found someone to make the club a website that features some photos and films of triathletes... its pretty inspiring. PS some of the photos are of us. Scofield Triathlon

Finally we are getting our photos from our summer of training for triathlons on the blog. This was my first Triathlon, Jameson took 3rd in his age division and 8th overall. I took 15th in my age division and we won't mention what I placed overall. :) Jameson says it was great for my first one but I still think I could have done better.... and I did place much better in my second triathlon.

Yuba Triathlon
This Is Jameson collecting his prizes for winning 1st place overall in the Sprint distance. He had to really push it hard to get this award. As he told the story of how he finished in 1st, it was pretty awesome. As most of you know his legs aren't very long, to his disadvantage when it comes to running. Nearing the end of the triathlon, during the running portion, he knew first place was between him and one other guy with significantly longer legs, knowing that he knew he couldn't just pace it to keep up with this other guy and then run hard at the end because he knew that with the other guys legs he could definitely run faster. So he pushed it hard throughout the whole 3 mile run as hard as he could. The unfortunate part: the volunteer helpers accidentally sent him running down the wrong path "thinking he was running the Olympic distance" (which is twice the distance of the Sprint) and he had to make his way back to the course, taking him longer, he came back onto the trail just in time to meet up with his competitor, bumbed out but determined not to let that fail him he ran with everything he had left and kicked some serious trash!

As for me I took 8th in my age division in my second triathlon EVER... I was pretty excited.

Just a fun side note: the Distance of a Sprint course is 1/2 mile swim, 12.5 mile bike, 3 mile run approximately. The Olympic distance (which I have yet to do but Jameson usually does) is twice the distance of the Sprint which would be 1 mile swim, 25 mile bike ride, 6 mile run.

This is our Fabulous wedding gift from Jameson's mom Patti, she put a lot of time into making this wonderful quilt that hangs next to our bed.

Jameson loves BYU Football games, so we are sporting our BYU blue tee-shirts at a BYU vrs UCLA on Sept. 13th 2008. The Score we can proudly say was 59 to 0. BYU is currently ranked 8th in the nation.

Rebuttal about sleep-talking

I have a rebuttal to Kamrah's post about my sleep-talking.

To introduce this, I have to start off by explaining a small tradition that we've started in our family. Every morning before we leave the house we have Family Devotional. This consists of us singing a verse of a hymn, quickly bearing our testimonies to each other, and then praying together.

Well, one morning, not long after Kamrah posted about my sleep-talking, she had been very tired. I had to wake her up just before I left so that we could have our Family Devotional together. We sang our song together, then I bore my testimony. As she bore her testimony, it turned into something like this: "I'm thankful for ..., We thank thee for ..., Please bless ..., We ask for these these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

I laughed a little and thanked her for the prayer. She realized that she wasn't so awake. I had to run and grab the camera as I told her I was going to get her back for writing about my sleep-talking.

A Fun Weekend

Kurtis my nephew came down to see us and we made him a cake in the shape of a car for his early birthday... August 7th which we will miss so we did an early celebration he will be the big SEVEN. We got bounce back passes to Lagoon from my sister she dropped Kurtis off with us. Jameson, Kurtis and I had a blast on the rides. In fact Kurtis went on the Rocket... it's the scariest ride in all of Lagoon in my opinion and Kurtis was two inches too short but somehow they didn't mind us squeezing by. I screamed like a child and Kurtis just laughed at me. He is amazing... I never would have done anything close to that at his age. He is such a cutie.

THE LAST THING WE LAUGHED REALLY HARD AT.....

In the middle of the night I wake up to Jameson saying "Did you get the stuff off the counter it's about to fall off?" In my mind I am thinking what stuff did I leave out that could be on the edge of the counter?! Not realizing that he could be sleep talking, until... I ask him " what's falling off the counter?" His reply,"The chemicals" At this point I start to laugh quietly and then ask, "Where?" He then replies, "At the gym!" I am laughing so hard at this point, so he starts to wake up, so I think, because he asks me what I am laughing about and I tell him that he was talking in his sleep. He then says, "No I wasn't I just can't explain it!" all frustrated. So I then say," Okay try again." He's just quiet for a few moments... thinking, thinking, thinking... then says "Okay never mind I was dreaming."
